After being named the Kubota Woman Farmer of The Year, Brigitte Cimbur took some time out of her busy day to chat with FM 101 Milton.
When it comes to her biggest accomplishment, she had a surprising answer.
Cimbur has spent over four years growing an abundance of flowers for wedding florals, subscriptions, and bouquet orders alongside her husband Nikola and children Brydie, Dimi, and Aussie.
She also wanted to share a piece of advice for those interested in farming.
One of her biggest surprises was that it could take some time to learn the craft.
Initially drawn towards farming to offer children the chance to experience an organic life filled with time together in nature, The August Tree Farm began with a simple tomato plant and the farm literally grew from there into a wonderful land of flowers and nature with the opportunity to also participate in workshops.
