You can help us feed hundreds of children in Milton, and even more across Halton.
101.3 myFM is holding its third annual All Hands on Deck Food Drive today. The station will be collecting food donations for Food4Kids Halton, which helps feed children in our community who don’t have enough to eat at home on the weekends and over the summer.
Station General Manager Hilary Montbourquette says it’s important to recognize that there are kids in our community that go hungry.

There are more than 850 kids in Halton between the age of 4 and 14 with limited or no access to food each weekend. This is a 24.5% increase since the beginning of the pandemic.
The Executive Director for Food4Kids Halton Gayle Kabbash is happy to see the return of this annual event.
“We are so grateful for the continued support from the myFM ‘All Hands on Deck’ Food drive. The awareness built during this campaign is incredible! Since the pandemic the number of children we feed has increased substantially to 216 in Milton. Thanks to John’s No Frills & myFM for bringing our community together to ensure no child goes hungry!”
Montbourquette is hoping to feed the hundreds of kids here in Milton who use this service.
He adds that last year, 101.3 myFM was able to collect $8194.05 in food and cash on behalf of Food4Kids Halton. That was in part due to the excellent work of John’s No Frills to carefully organize donation bags to make the process easy for the customer during a pandemic.
