The Halton Police are looking for any witnesses regarding a hate crime in Georgetown.
On Wednesday, March 17th, the HRPS received reports of spray-painted graffiti at John Street Park. According to the information received, the graffiti, which included hate motivated phrases, was written on a play structure located at the park. Officers attended the scene, and this incident remains under investigation at this time.
Police are appealing to anyone that may have witnessed this incident or has any relevant information to contact the 1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2415 or ext. 2416.
