A house fire on Campbellville Road in Milton has put one person in the hospital.
The Milton Fire Department says that “Heavy smoke and flames” were visible upon arrival at 2225 Campbellville Road. One person suffered minor injuries and was sent to hospital.
The fire is now under control, according to the MFD Twitter account. Residents are asked to avoid the area for the time being.
An update from the Halton Police says that the fire is believed to have started in a second story bedroom, causing in excess of $500,000 in damage to the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
