On Sunday September 20th, at roughly 10:00 p.m., there was a shooting in the area of Sixth Line and Elm Road in the Town of Oakville.
A 53-year old man suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The shooting is not believed to be a random act, and the Halton Police say there is no concern for public safety at this time. At the time of writing, no suspect(s) have been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
Police are urging anyone in the area of Sixth Line and Elm Road who have home CCTV cameras or dash cam footage in the area around that time to contact the Halton Regional Police Service.
