You can help stay busy this month with the help of the Milton Historical Society.
They are launching their annual series of guided tours through downtown Milton, starting this weekend.
The tours will cover the history of Milton and several historical buildings within the downtown area.
The President of the Milton Historical Society, John Challinor, lets you know what to expect this month.
He adds that each participant will get a physical pamphlet to help with the tour.
It’s been a hard year for everyone in the community due to the novel coronavirus. The Milton Historical Society has had to cancel many of their planned events and have not been able to regularly meet in-person. Fortunately, the MHS have also started up with their blacksmith workshops classes.
With the tours taking place during a pandemic, Challinor assures everyone that safety measures are being taken for the public’s safety.
The series of guided tours will kick off on Sunday, September 6th at 2:00 p.m..
Tickets are $10 (cash only). You will need to pay in-person before the tour takes place; however, if you’d like to attend, the Milton Historical Society recommends you book your placement ahead of time by emailing info@miltonhistoricalsociety.ca or by registering online.
The tours will start at the Waldie Blacksmith Shop, located at 16 James Street in Milton.
