On October 22nd, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, Christine Elliott, presented 13 paramedics with the Ontario Award for Paramedic Bravery.
The award acknowledges paramedics for the courage they displayed on and off duty while caring for patients in dangerous situations.
Halton’s own, Ian Gibson, was one of the few who received the honour for providing care to gunshot victims while off duty.
