The Conservation Halton Foundation has raised enough money to plant their own forest.
They held the Friluftsliv Foundation Gala on Thursday June 20th at Kelso Quarry Park.
Where guests had the opportunity to plant trees that were used as an auction to raise funds for tree planting.
They surpassed their goal of building 1,153 trees. They raised enough to plant 1,487 trees and shrubs.
Each of those trees will be planted on Conservation Halton properties to restore forests affected by invasive species.
