It was a night of recognition, community spirit, and gratitude as United Way Halton & Hamilton hosted its annual Evening of Celebration at the Burlington Convention Centre.
This year’s theme, Lights, Camera, United in ACTION, brought together donors, community partners, and organizations who helped raise an incredible $12.1 million to support vital social programs across Halton and Hamilton.
Hosted by Lohifa Pogoson Acker and Chris Mai, the event honoured individuals and organizations who went above and beyond in giving back to their community. United Way President and CEO Brad Park shared how the funds will directly support essential services.
“This year has been incredibly difficult for so many people in our community, and yet, we continue to see an outpouring of generosity and commitment from individuals, businesses, and organizations who truly care,” says Park. “Thanks to our donors, $12.1 million dollars will go directly into programs that provide essential services—helping people access food, housing, mental health resources, and other critical supports they need to move forward. We are deeply grateful to every person who contributed.”
The evening also marked a leadership transition, with Claude DeMone of RBC welcoming Carrie Fletcher of St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton as the new 2025-26 Campaign Cabinet Chair.
Award winners were recognized for their outstanding contributions, while the premiere of the 2025-26 Impact Video showcased inspiring stories from local residents whose lives have been transformed through United Way programs.
As United Way Halton & Hamilton looks ahead, it remains committed to supporting those who need it most during challenging times.
