Shortly before midnight on January 18, 2025, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a traffic hazard on County Road 10 in Essa Township.
Officers attended County Road 10 between 25th Sideroad and Willoughby Road for a report of a female party laying on the edge of the road.
Police attended the area and were unable to locate anyone.
Shortly after, officers were contacted by a female stating she was walking along County Road 10 in the area of civic number 8085 when she was struck by a vehicle.
Officers were able to locate and speak to the female at which time she was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
