A man from East Gwillimbury is facing charges after allegedly shooting a 24-year-old at a highway motel on New Year’s Day.
York Regional Police were called to the area of Highway 11 and Canal Road the night of January 1.
Officers found a man with gunshot wounds.
He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.
Several days later, Police located the suspect, in a parking lot in Georgina.
A 33 year old man is facing nearly a dozen charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault and failure to attend court.
