Milton Hydro has updated its rates following approval from the Ontario Energy Board (OEB).
A 3.60% increase in distribution rates took effect on Wednesday, January 1st, as per OEB guidelines, along with the expiration of several temporary rate riders. Despite the rate adjustment, residential customers consuming 750 kWh monthly will see a total bill decrease of $2.32, or 1.68%, excluding taxes and the Ontario Electricity Rebate.
Additionally, Halton Region’s 2025 water and wastewater rates, reflecting a 5.5% increase, also took effect on January 1st.
