A lot of people are counting down the days until holiday break begins in Milton.
While students get off early on Friday, December 20th, and don’t return to class until the new year, adults have a trickier schedule to manage. Hopefully you get some time off to relax and enjoy the holidays.
Wednesday, December 25th is Christmas Day. There will be a number of closures around town.
Here’s a complete list of what’s open and closed on Christmas:
Beer and LCBO
- Beer Store locations will be closed.
- LCBO locations will be closed.
Transit
- Milton Transit will not run. Follow the schedule here.
- GO Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule.
Grocery and pharmacy
- Most grocery stores will be closed, but some will be open, including most Rabba Fine Foods locations. Check your local location for hours.
- Convenience stores and gas stations will be open.
- Some Shoppers Drug Mart will be open; call ahead or check online for your location’s hours.
Malls
- Milton Mall will be closed.
- Toronto Premium Outlets will be closed Christmas Day, with modified hours on Christmas Eve.
Other
- Banks and government offices will be closed.
- No mail delivery.
- Town of Milton facilities, including Town Hall, will be closed.
- Milton Public Library branches will be closed.
- Movie theatres will be open.
- Tim Hortons and Starbucks locations are expected to be open.
- Waste pick-up will take place one day later.
