You might be looking for answers when it comes to your mail.
Canada Post announced a national strike on Friday, November 8th. Any item now dropped off will not be processed or delivered for the duration of the strike. Canada Post is advising all customers to expect delays.
Halton Region has provided some ways to access their services in the meantime. Effective Friday, November 15th, Halton Region has not dropped any items to Canada Post. Canada Post has advised that no new items will be processed for the duration of the national strike. If you are waiting for mail delivery from Halton Region, you have the following options:
- Go to the Halton Regional Centre, 1151 Bronte Road in Oakville. They are open Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Call 311 or email accesshalton@halton.ca.
Any item you dropped to Canada Post after Friday November 8th will not be processed or delivered for the duration of the national strike. If you are concerned about an urgent item you placed in the mail, call 311 or email accesshalton@halton.ca to speak with a customer service representative.
