A Milton resident is facing a pair of charges after being caught racing through Wellington County.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers spotted the vehicle on Wednesday, November 6th, just after 9:00 a.m. They stopped the driver on Peel Street East in Mapleton.
As a result of the investigation, the 56-year-old was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with the following:
- Race a motor vehicle
- Speeding 50+ Km/h over posted limit
Their vehicle will be impounded for 14-days and their license will be suspended for 30-days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in a Guelph court at a later date.
