Construction sign with worker
More work will be coming to a major Milton road, and the closures will start this fall.
The Town of Milton says they’re preparing to continue the reconstruction of Ontario Street South next year, but in order to do so, they’ll need to temporarily shut lanes down. The following investigation works are planned:
- Topographic Survey
- CCTV investigation of the existing storm sewers
- Geotechnical Investigation
This will be done along Ontario Street South between Main Street and Derry Road. Residents in the area can expect survey crews on site, who may need to enter onto nearby property. They will be locating surface features, obtaining ground elevations, as well as legal survey information. The survey will not require entry into any building. The information collected will help to ensure any future improvements will have a minimum impact on your property. You’re asked to not disturb or remove any stakes or painting that may be installed as part of this work, as the Town’s consultant will remove them upon completion of the work.
It’s expected to start in October and run until November.
