Outdoor rink season is almost here!
The Town of Milton has announced the return of its outdoor neighbourhood ice rink program for a third season. This initiative is a collaborative effort between residents and the Town.
Groups of six or more adults can build and operate a neighbourhood rink in a pre-approved location, meeting the criteria and agreed upon responsibilities to maintain the rink throughout the winter season.
A neighbourhood rink offers a valuable community-building opportunity, where a group of neighbours come together to build and maintain an outdoor ice rink at a local park for everyone to enjoy, free of charge. Workplaces looking to give back through volunteer initiatives are also encouraged to apply to help build and operate a rink this winter season.
Online applications will open on Wednesday, October 9th and close on Friday, November 8th.
