The Community Foundation of Halton North (CFHN) and Community Living North Halton (CLNH) are once again teaming up for an annual award.
Every year, the Steven Worby Access & Mobility Award is presented to an individual towards the cost of modifying a business, home, or vehicle to allow access, mobility or upgraded technology for individuals with disabilities in Halton Hills. This is a $5000 award.
It’s named after Steven Worby, who unexpectedly passed away on November 18th, 2019 in his 30th year.
“He had a tremendous impact on so many people,” CFHN says on their website. “His hard work, positivity, selflessness, strength, protection, and willingness to help anyone in need was truly admired by his friends and family. Steven had such a zest for life and was always smiling. Steven loved playing hockey in the winter and golf in the summer.”
Community Living North Halton says there are two grants available this year.
You must be a resident of Halton Hills to receive a grant.
