The Milton Menace broke even over the weekend.
They had back-to-back road games, starting with a trip to Niagara Falls on Friday, September 13th to take on the Canucks. Madden MacDougall scored first, assisted by Gabriel Ciarallo and Ryder Cali, getting the Menace on the board in the opening frame. Niagara Falls would tie things up before the end of the period, making it 1-1 after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, the Canucks would jump out to a two-goal lead. They were up 3-1 after two periods of play.
Niagara Falls would score again to open the final frame, with Milton getting one back shortly after. It was scored by Ciarallo, assisted by Dean Deligeorgis and captain Graeme MacAuley. The Canucks would be the Menace 5-2.
In net for this game was Austin McKillop. He stopped 33 of 38 shots for Milton, giving him an .868% save percentage.
The next night, the Menace travelled to Mississauga to take on the Chargers at the Port Credit Memorial Arena.
This game was the Ryder Cali show. The 16-year-old scored four goals and assisted on two more, setting franchise records for goals and points in a game, as well as goals scored in a game by a rookie/16-year-old. Kyle Burton, Luke Hampel, and Gabriel Ciarallo also scored on the night. Graeme MacAuley had three assists.
It was a 7-2 win for the Menace when it was all said and done. In net for Milton was Ethan Kowatsch. He saved 30 of 32 shots, giving a .937 save percentage.
The Menace return to their own barn finally on Friday, September 20th. They take on the Cobourg Cougars at the Milton Memorial Arena will be at 7:30 p.m.
