$61-million is being invested into building new schools in Simcoe County.
The Ontario government has announced the money will help address the needs of growing communities in the area.
$28.1-million is going to The Simcoe County District School Board for a new public elementary school in Angus.
While the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board will receive $24.3 million to construct a new Catholic elementary school in Angus.
The province is also allocating $8.6 million to expand St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School in Tottenham.
That will create 276 new student spaces and helping to alleviate overcrowding.
A timeline for construction on these projects has yet to be announced.
