It’s McHappy Day on Wednesday, May 8th in Milton and around Canada.
This will be the 30th McHappy Day for McDonald’s Canada, as they rally Canadians to raise critical funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and other local children’s charities across Canada.
In Milton, the purchase of single menu items at local McDonalds locations will support the Milton District Hospital Foundation. Last year, we spoke with local franchise owner Cam Binnie on the importance of the day. Hear what he had to say here.
In an average year, RMHC supports over 26,000 families from more than 3,400 communities across Canada.
Here’s how you can get involved this year:
-
Exclusive McDonald’s x Peace Collective merch is back, featuring retro McDonaldland characters! Proceeds from every purchase will support RMHC across Canada. Get yours for a limited time before it’s gone.
-
Donate $2, $5, or $10 at your local McDonald’s and you’ll receive a McHappy Day heart to write your name on and show your support for RMHC SWO, or make a donation within the McDonald’s app.
-
Purchase a pair of Peace Collective McHappy Day socks for $5 (plus tax) at participating McDonald’s restaurants and through the McDonald’s app! While supplies last.
-
Round Up for RMHC on McHappy Day, and every day, and the difference will be donated directly to RMHC-SWO
-
Volunteer at your local McDonald’s by reaching out to the location closest to you or contacting us to help coordinate.
Since McHappy Day was first celebrated in 1977, McDonald’s Canada, its franchisees, and generous guests have contributed nearly $66 million for Ronald McDonald Houses and local Canadian children’s charities.
