Patio season is right around the corner!
The Town of Milton is now accepting seasonal patio program applications for the 2024 season. This allows bars and restaurants to extend and operate patios in designated areas.
“The Town of Milton always aims to support local businesses,” says Andy Scott, Director, Strategic Initiatives & Business Development. “We’re excited to collaborate with our partners at the Milton Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area to relaunch the program on Victoria Day weekend in alignment with the opening of the Farmers’ Market. We encourage new and returning businesses to apply for a temporary patio permit and look forward to the 2024 season.”
This year’s program will launch on Victoria Day weekend, coinciding with the opening of the Milton Farmers’ Market on Main Street. The program will run from Saturday, May 18th to Thursday, October 31st for patios on public property and until Tuesday, December 31st for patios on private property.
This year applicants are required to submit their application by Friday, April 19th to enable approval for May 18th.
