The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) is taking part in the Valentines for Vets program.
Known as the Hearts for Heroes program at the HCDSB, messages are sent to the Veteran’s Affairs Canada (VAC) head office in Prince Edward Island, where they are sorted and repackaged for distribution to veterans and active-duty military members worldwide, including those in long-term care and currently deployed.
VAC says the HCDSB is the largest distributor in Canada for this program. This year, students made thousands of valentines for veterans around the globe.
