The Milton Menace had a good win at the Madhouse and now turn their heads to a cross-region rival.
On Wednesday, November 22nd, the St. Michaels Buzzers came into the Milton Memorial Arena to take on the Menace.
It was all Milton in the first period. Alexander Siletsky kicked off the scoring at the nine-minute mark, potting his 5th of the year. It was assisted by Evan Grobanopoulos and Sett Ursomarzo. Grobanopoulos then scored a goal of his own, his 1st of the year, with help from Tristan Tremble and Siletsky. Right before the end of the first period, Isaac Barrett was able to also score his 1st goal. This time it was Ivan Fabjan and Joseph Macchione getting the apples. Milton was leading 3-0 after 20-minutes.
The Buzzers would get on the board six-minutes into the second period, but the Menace would answer right back with three goals. Let’s rattle them off: Madden MacDougall with his 10th of the year, assisted by Ursomarzo and Aidan Puley. On the powerplay, Justin O’Donnell would bury his 9th of the season, assisted by Macchione and Ursomarzo. That wasn’t all for the PP, as Owen Kindree would score his 3rd with help from Fabjan and Aidan Puley. St. Michaels would net another goal, but Milton was up 6-2 after two periods of play.
The comeback started early in the third period, with the Buzzers getting their third past Ariel Zaslaver, but that was all. Graeme Macauley scored the final dagger, his 6th of the year, with assists from Puley and Macchione. Milton won 7-3.
As mentioned, in net for Milton was Ariel Zaslaver. The back-up stopped 18 of 21 shots, giving him an .857% save percentage in relief duty.
Next up for the Menace is a cross-region rival: the Georgetown Raiders. Milton will host them at the Milton Memorial Arena on Friday, November 24th. Game-time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
