Your child can get free basketball training this summer!
Local not-for-profit organization DribbleDreams Foundation is holding a nearly-two month long free basketball camp in Milton. It’s available for ages 6 – 13, and will be held at the Milton Sports Centre.
Founders Ismail Hassan and Saad Asim have put together a fundraiser to help run the camp this summer. They want to provide a barrier-free experience for local kids in Milton who want to learn how to play basketball. They’ve reached their initial fundraising goal of $2500, which will allow them to rent out the gym. They are hoping for more donations to further improve the experience, while covering important expenses such as insurance and equipment. Hassan and Asim say that any money left over will provide the kids with free t-shirts, basketballs, and other basketball gear (backpacks, water bottles, shoes) to take home with them at the end of the summer.

The camp will run every Sunday at the Milton Sports Centre, 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., from July 9th to August 27th. Sunday, July 23rd and Sunday, July 30th will run 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
