The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) needs your help in identifying two suspects responsible for an attempted armed robbery at a Halton Hills loan company.
The case happened on Wednesday, February 15th, at roughly 9:30 a.m. Two suspects entered the “Cash 4 You” loan store at 184 Guelph Street in Georgetown. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun and pointed it at an employee and a customer. The suspect threatened the employee and demanded access to the rear of the store. The employee immediately called police and the suspects fled the scene.
The suspects are described as follows:
- Male, black, early to mid 20’s, tall, dressed in all black clothing and wearing a black facemask
- Male, black, short, early 20’s, dressed in all black clothing and wearing a black facemask (suspect with the gun)
No physical injuries were sustained as a result of the robbery and nothing was stolen.
It is believed that the same suspects are responsible for a similar robbery that occurred in Peel earlier on February 15th.
Suspects are armed and dangerous. If you come into contact with these individuals DO NOT APPROACH. Call 9-1-1- immediately.
