The Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area is getting everything ready for the new Downtown Milton SummerFest event, presented by BMO Financial Group.
It was announced earlier this year that will act as a (smaller) replacement to the previously annual Downtown Milton Street Festival, and will resemble the Downtown Milton HolidayFest.
DBIA Executive Director Rachel Shuttleworth says the event will bring a lot of fun to the downtown area.

The BMO Stage will showcase eight live bands playing a wide range of popular songs and original music guaranteed to get you dancing. Milton’s own Dylan Burke will be the final performer of the evening, starting at 7:00 p.m.
The Milton Strong Performance Area supported by Lajy Welding will feature live music, local bands, classes and demonstrations from local businesses as well as DJing throughout the day.
The Vendor Marketplace, sponsored by Scotiabank, will include over 70 vendors and local businesses selling clothing, accessories, food and more, as well as a variety of local community groups.
The event will also include a car show with classic and collector cars and mustangs on display. There will be summer photo opportunities, outdoor patios, great food, kids’ activities and so much more.
The Downtown Milton SummerFest will be held on Main Street East on Saturday, June 18th from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. There will be no entry fee. Main Street East will be closed to vehicles between Brown Street and Fulton Street for the event.
