The Town of Halton Hills is inviting residents to connect with their neighbours through a series of friendly, informal gatherings as part of its Hey Neighbour program.
At the heart of this initiative is a commitment to building a vibrant, inclusive, and engaged community — one cup of coffee at a time.
“Knowing your neighbours is a hallmark of Small Town Living at its Best,” says Mayor Ann Lawlor. “The Hey Neighbour program supports our Town motto by providing residents with opportunities to meet and make personal connections.”
The Community Socials will be hosted in each ward from 10:00 a.m. to noon, featuring casual conversation, a chance to meet elected officials, and learn more about local initiatives:
- Saturday, May 10th – Cedarvale Park, Georgetown (Ward 3)
- Saturday, June 7th – Danby Road Park, Georgetown (Ward 4)
- Saturday, October 4th – Glen Williams Park, Glen Williams (Ward 2)
- Saturday, October 18th – Tanners Drive Park, Acton (Ward 1)
Coffee and cookies will be provided, thanks to the Terra Cotta Cookie Co. and the Tim Hortons at 326 Guelph Street. Events will go ahead grey or shine — everyone is welcome!
