Parents and guardians in Oakville are invited to an important Vaping Awareness Presentation hosted by the Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (CPIC), in partnership with the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB).
The event will take place on Wednesday, April 30th, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School, located at 2420 Sixth Line in Oakville. It will be led by Patrick Brophy, Vice-Principal at St. Ignatius of Loyola.
The session will cover essential topics including the health risks and consequences of vaping, tips on talking to your children about it, and an overview of the Smoke-Free Ontario Act – along with growing concerns surrounding cannabis vaping products.
While the presentation is aimed at parents, children 12 years and older may attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian. The session is not recommended for children under 12, and it will be in-person only, with no recording or online option.
Registration is required for planning purposes. Parents are encouraged to sign up and be part of this timely conversation about youth health and safety.
