A driver in Oakville is facing charges after a series of concerning traffic violations at the intersection of Trafalgar Road and Dundas Street.
According to the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS), the incident happened when the driver made a left turn after the advanced green arrow had already turned red – failing to yield to a pedestrian who was crossing with a walk signal.
Even more alarming, officers discovered that an infant in the back seat was not properly secured. Instead, the child’s car seat was being used to hold a bottle of wine.
The driver was promptly charged with multiple offences, including failing to yield and child seat safety violations.
