The Town of Milton is getting ready to celebrate National Youth Week in style.
From Thursday, May 1st to Wednesday, May 7th, a week-long lineup of free and engaging activities for local youth will be available.
Partnering with the Milton Youth Task Force (MYTF), the town will offer everything from sports and markets to recognition events designed to spotlight and empower the community’s young people.
Things kick off on Thursday, May 1st, with an invite-only Milton Youth Awards celebration and free basketball at the Milton Sports Centre. Youth can also sign up for a co-ed strength training session at the Milton Leisure Centre.
Other highlights include Friday night roller skating at Sherwood Community Centre, a Saturday youth makers market and 3v3 basketball tournament at Milton Community Park, and a Sunday PALs Inclusion Program at the Milton Youth Space.
The week wraps up with a female-only strength training session on Tuesday, May 6th, and an invite-only mural reveal on Monday, May 5th.
Some events require pre-registration, and spots may fill up quickly – so plan ahead!
