A beautiful weekend drive turned into a costly mistake for one Porsche driver in Milton.
On Sunday, April 13th, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) clocked the vehicle going 116 km/h in a posted 60 zone. The incident happened during the afternoon hours, when the nice weather had many drivers out enjoying the roads.
Unfortunately for the driver, police were also out—and they weren’t impressed. The vehicle was immediately impounded and the driver’s licence suspended under Ontario’s stunt driving laws.
Halton Police are reminding motorists that while the sunshine might tempt you to open it up, the speed limit still applies.
