The Milton Menace have jumped back into the lead in the OJHL West Conference Finals.
On Tuesday, April 8th, the Menace travelled to Leamington to face the Flyers in game three of their third round series, with both teams sitting at one win apiece.
1200 people filled the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre.
Leamington jumped out to an early lead, scoring just under four minutes into the game. Milton would answer back a few minutes later on the powerplay. Luke Johnston buried his 11th of the postseason, assisted by Madden MacDougall and Captain Graeme MacAuley. Five minutes later, Ashtyn Pacheco scored his 2nd of the Playoffs, assisted by MacAuley and Nathan Catalano. The Menace led 2-1 after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, the Menace were back on the man advantage when Johnston added a second goal of the game and his 12th of the postseason. It was assisted by MacDougall and Ivan Fabjan. Leamington would answer back to keep it a one goal game after two periods of play.
No goals would be scored in the final frame, as Milton hunkered down. They were outshot 7-2, but managed to keep all of them out of the net to get the 3-2 win.
Carter Bickle was in net for the Menace, as he stopped 24 of 26 shots for the .923% save percentage.
Game four will be held Friday, April 11th at the Milton Memorial Arena. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
