The Halton Hills Public Library is bringing back Halton Hills FanFest, the town’s biggest celebration of all things fandom. Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 12th, and head to the Georgetown branch from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a day filled with excitement, creativity, and community spirit.
FanFest is the ultimate gathering for fans of comics, sci-fi, anime, gaming, and pop culture. Whether you’re a die-hard enthusiast or just discovering a new interest, there’s something for everyone!
Event Highlights:
- Cosplay Contests – Show off your best costumes and compete for fun prizes.
- Author Panels & Meet-Ups – Connect with local authors and artists to discuss your favorite fandoms.
- Interactive Workshops – Dive into hands-on activities, including 3D printing and DIY fandom crafts.
- Artist’s Alley & Vendors – Browse unique artwork, collectibles, and fan merchandise.
- Superhero Storytime – A fun-filled activity for young fans and families.
- Gaming & Virtual Reality – Immerse yourself in cutting-edge gaming experiences.
“We’re thrilled to welcome fans back to FanFest for another exciting year of celebrating fandom, cosplay, and creativity,” says Emma Lupinacci, Youth Services Librarian. “This event brings together passionate fans, talented creators, and interactive experiences that showcase the creativity, impact, and community spirit of fandom.”
This all-ages, drop-in event is open to everyone, making it the perfect opportunity to dress up, meet fellow fans, and celebrate what you love in a welcoming and inclusive space.
