100 Women Who Care Milton is getting ready for their second gathering of 2025.
The group gets together to listen to presentations from three local charities. The group then votes and awards one charity with a donation from each member. Traditionally, the donation is $100 per member, but has been done on a ‘donate-what-you-can’ method since the pandemic.
In January, they chose the Milton Community Resource Centre (MCRC) She Can! program as the awarded charity. Nearly $10,000 was given to the organization that helps “empower and uplift girls in our community.”
On Wednesday, April 16th, they will head to Eighth Note Local Eatery at 243 Main Street East in Milton. Registration will start at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. It’s expected to run for roughly one hour. The MCRC will join the meeting to discuss how their award has been used the last few months.
It was announced recently that they’ve welcomed their 100th member. If you’d like to join the group or if you have any questions, you can check out the 100 Women Who Care Milton meeting Facebook page. If you have any questions, email the group at 100womenmilton@gmail.com.
