A Milton man is dead after falling through the ice on Lake of Bays in the Muskoka area.
Huntsville OPP and emergency services arrived on scene near Baxter Lane in Algonquin Highlands Township on Saturday, March 22nd.
The 59-year-old was reportedly on the ice retrieving stakes, but was later found floating in the water.
While he was taken to shore in an attempt to save his life, the man was pronounced dead by paramedics on scene.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
With spring underway, any remaining ice is considered dangerous. Be careful and stay safe.
