An unknown man is wanted by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) after attempting to steal items from a local grocery store.
On Wednesday, March 12th, at roughly 6:00 p.m., the suspect attended the Fortinos store at 5111 New Street in Burlington. He made his way to the pharmacy area where he concealed seven packages of multi-vitamins, valued at more than $700, in his jacket. The suspect then paid for the items in his cart, except for the multi-vitamins, before exiting the store.
When approached by Loss Prevention, the suspect surrendered the stolen items before fleeing.
The HRPS describe the suspect as:
- male
- white
- 60-65 years-old
- 6’0, 150lbs
- wearing a black toque, black jacket, and black-rimmed glasses
