The run couldn’t last forever.
On Tuesday, March 25th, the Menace drove north to take on the Collingwood Blues at the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena in game four of their second round OJHL Playoff series. Coming into this game, the Menace had completely boxed out the Blues from scoring, winning both games in shutout fashion.
Collingwood would end that streak pretty quickly, scoring on the powerplay just after the five minute mark in the first period. The Blues led the Menace 1-0 after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, Collingwood would continue to score, adding a pair of goals to pull ahead 3-0 after two periods of play.
Milton would get on the board in the final frame, with Luke Johnston burying his 5th of the playoffs, assisted by Ivan Fabjan. Shortly after, Menace leading scorer Madden MacDougall would score his 9th of the postseason, assisted by Marcus Tryfon. That’d be all though, as the Blues would quickly get back on the board, and add an empty netted insurance marker late. Collingwood beat Milton 5-2 to take game three.
Carter Bickle was in net for Milton. He stopped 30 of 34 shots, giving him an .882% save percentage in the losing effort.
The Menace will have a few days off to get ready for game four. It’ll take place on Friday, March 28th at the Milton Memorial Arena. It’s scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
