A man has been arrested in Halton following a collision that left a woman seriously injured.
On Sunday, March 9th, at 11:25 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Beach Road and Woodleigh Avenue. When officers arrived, they located a woman with serious injuries as a result of being struck by a vehicle. The woman was transported to hospital in serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as a 44-year-old Hamilton man. He was arrested Saturday, March 15th at a residence in Halton. The man has been charged with the following:
- Attempt Murder
- Dangerous Drive Cause Bodily Harm
- Assault with a Weapon
- Assault cause Bodily harm
The man has been held for bail, and he remains in custody pending a hearing.
Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance and are asking drivers in the area at the time of the incident to check their dash cameras as well as homeowners to review any camera footage that they may have during that time.
