The Milton Menace will officially take on the Burlington Cougars in the first round of the OJHL playoffs.
This will be a repeat of last year’s opening round, where the Menace were able to get the series win in five games.
Here’s how the playoff schedule looks heading into the weekend:
- Game One – Burlington Cougars @ Milton Menace – Friday, March 7th, 7:30 p.m. at the Milton Memorial Arena
- Game Two – Milton Menace @ Burlington Cougars – Monday, March 10th, 7:30 p.m. at the Central Arena
- Game Three – Burlington Cougars @ Milton Menace – Wednesday, March 12th, 7:00 p.m. at the Milton Memorial Arena
- Game Four – Milton Menace @ Burlington Cougars – Friday, March 14th, 7:30 p.m. at the Central Arena
- Game Five – Burlington Cougars @ Milton Menace – Sunday, March 16th, 6:00 p.m. at the Milton Memorial Arena
- Game Six – Milton Menace @ Burlington Cougars – Tuesday, March 18th, 7:30 p.m. at the Central Arena
- Game Seven – Burlington Cougars @ Milton Menace – Wednesday, March 19th, 7:30 p.m. at the Milton Memorial Arena
The Menace finished the season in 3rd place in the OJHL West Conference. Their record of 36-15-1-4 over 56 games gives them 77 points on the season. Madden MacDougall finished the season as the team’s scoring leader, with 25 goals and 39 assists in 48 games played. Ryder Cali was second with 24 goals and 30 assists in 51 games, and despite being acquired mid-season via trade, Luke Johnston was third with 22 goals and 28 assists in just 28 games played.
As for the Cougars, they’re in 6th place in the OJHL West Conference. They finished with a record of 31-20-3-2 over 56 games, giving them 67 points on the season. Their leading scorer was Mathieu MacMillan with 31 goals and 40 assist over 54 games.
