Downtown Milton
The Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area (DMBIA) is hosting a public meeting this week for the provincial election.
This comes after a pair of local debates were cancelled last week due to a lack of participation from enough Milton candidates. Read more here.
Residents can stop by the Southside Community Church at 200 Main Street East on Thursday, February 20th to attend the meeting. It’s expected to start at 6:00 p.m. and run until 7:30 p.m.
All Milton candidates for the election have been invited to attend.
We can confirm that Katherine-Anne Cirlincione of the NDP, Kristina Tesser Derksen of the Ontario Liberal Party, and John Spina of the New Blue Party will be in attendance. Incumbent MPP Zee Hamid of the Conservatives will not be attending. Susan Doyle of the Green Party will also not attend due to a scheduling conflict.
If you’re looking to hear from Milton candidates directly, we have been compiling interviews over the last couple weeks. At the time of writing, we have three of the five confirmed candidates. Hear about their platforms here.
