Another jewelry store in Burlington has been robbed, according to the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS).
On Monday, January 27th, at roughly 6:00 p.m., three male suspects entered Arain Jewelry in the Burlington Centre Mall just as an employee was closing the store for the evening. One of the suspects pushed the employee to the back of the store and the suspects began to smash glass displays with a hammer and steal the jewelry inside.
The suspects were in the store for a brief period before fleeing the mall via the north exit facing Fairview Street. The suspects were all dressed in black and seen entering a blue Honda CRV and leaving in an unknown direction. Police have since confirmed this vehicle to be stolen.
No firearms were seen and the only weapon used was a hammer. There were no physical injuries reported to police.
Another Burlington jewelry store was robbed earlier this month. A jewelry store in Milton also had someone break the display window this month as well.
More information is expected as the investigation continues.
