An Oakville man is facing a charge after driving a vehicle into Lake Ontario, leading to the death of the passenger.
The Toronto Police Service says on Sunday, January 19th, at 9:31 p.m., officers responded to a call for a Marine Rescue involving a vehicle that entered the water at Ashbridges Bay Park.
It is alleged that two people were in a vehicle that entered the water. The male driver was able to exit the vehicle, but police had to get into the water to try and safe the female passenger. She was removed and transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, the 25-year-old woman later died in hospital.
On Monday, January 20th, 23-year-old Kristjan Serraj was charged with:

He appeared in a Toronto court on Tuesday, January 21st.
