100 Women Who Care Milton has announced the date for their first gathering of 2025.
The group gets together to listen to presentations from three local charities. The group then votes and awards one charity with a donation from each member. Traditionally, the donation is $100 per member, but has been done on a ‘donate-what-you-can’ method since the pandemic.
In September, they chose The Optimist Club of Milton as the awarded charity. $9,200 was given to the organization that acts as a has been “‘Friend of Youth’ to young people in the Milton area for over 40 years.”
On Wednesday January 22nd, they will gather at Ned Devine’s Irish Pub, located at 575 Ontario Street South in Milton. Registration will start at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. It’s expected to run for roughly one hour. The Optimist Club of Milton will join the meeting to discuss how their award has been used the last few months.
