According to reports, three people were hospitalized following a house fire.
Two children and a woman are recovering after the fire closed down Sixth Line in both directions on Wednesday, January 8th. Two cats were left inside, with one of them found dead by emergency services. The search continues for the second cat.
The fire is not considered suspicious.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) and Oakville Fire Department were busy with another fire early this morning.
Just after midnight on Wednesday, January 8th, the HRPS notified the public of a structure fire on Sixth Line. The street was closed in both directions from Upper Middle Road South to Elm Street. The street would reopen just before 2:00 a.m.
This was the second structure fire reported by the HRPS in Oakville this week.
No injuries have been reported.
