The Milton Menace finally returned to the ice on Tuesday, January 7th after a long holiday break.
They welcomed in the Mississauga Chargers to the Milton Memorial Arena. It’s a match-up that has been very kind to the Menace as of late.
It started of strong for Milton, with Kyle Burton being the first on the board in 2025. His 6th of the year was assisted by Marcus Tryfon and Dean Deligeorgis. Less than a minute later, Alessandro Petreccia potted his 4th of the season, with help from Luke Johnston and Justin Dezoete. Not to be out done, Johnston buried his 16th of the year before the end of the opening period, with assists from Spencer Vandenberg and Dezoete. It was 3-0 Milton after 20 minutes of action.
Mississauga would get one back in the second period, making it 3-1 Menace heading into the final frame.
Burton would nab his 2nd of the game and 7th on the season to kick off the third period. Markus Hicks and Gavin Sheehan received assists on the play. That was all she wrote, as the Menace beat the Chargers 4-1.
All-star Austin McKillop was in net for Milton, stopping 19 of 20 shots. That gave him an easy .950% save percentage.
The Menace will have a few more days to rest up. The boys will hit the ice again on Sunday, January 12th when they take on the Oakville Blades at home. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
