The Milton Menace managed to win all of their games that they actually played over the weekend.
On Friday, December 13th, the Menace welcomed in the Georgetown Raiders to the Milton Memorial Arena. Milton started out with a bang, thanks to Captain Graeme MacAuley scoring on the powerplay in the first seven minutes of the game. Luke Johnston and Justin Dezoete got the assists. That helped them take a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
In the second period, the Menace got a big burst of offence. Dezoete scored a natural hat-trick, netting three goals in the span of seven minutes. MacAuley and Johnston traded a pair of assists on the first two, whereas Cole Semeniuk and Madden MacDougall were credited with the helpers on the final goal. Georgetown would net a goal of their own, making it 4-1 after 40-minutes of action.
The Raiders would score again to open the final frame, but the Menace would seal the deal late. Alessandro Petreccia scored his 3rd goal of the season. The empty netter assisted by Ivan Fabjan and Tristan Tremble. The Menace beat the Raiders 5-2.
In net was the newest addition for the Menace. Carter Bickle stopped 31 of 33 shots, giving him a very respectable .939% save percentage on his Menace debut.
Milton was supposed to play the Wellington Dukes on Sunday, December 15th. That game was postponed. We’ll let you know when the game is rescheduled.
The Menace will return home again on Wednesday, December 18th to play the Pickering Panthers. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Milton Memorial Arena. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
