The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is looking for help in identifying a suspect in a pair of armed robberies in Burlington.
On Friday, November 29th, at roughly 2:45 p.m., the man entered the Maplewood Mart at 796 Brant Street. Once inside the store, the suspect brandished a black and silver firearm and pointed it at the employee. He demanded money; however, when unsuccessful in obtaining any, stole energy drinks and fled the store.
Roughly 45 minutes later, the same suspect entered the Ontario Variety Store at 1325 Ontario Street and produced the same firearm, once again pointing it at the employee and demanding money. The employee pushed the suspect away and they fled along Ontario Street.
No physical injures to any members of the public were sustained in either robbery.
The suspect is described by the HRPS as:
- Male
- wearing a grey sweatshirt, hood up (recovered), black pants, black running shoes and a black face covering
