Miracle on Main Street is returning to Downtown Milton for a 16th year!
This annual event held by the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation (TJSF) collects toys from residents and donates them to families in need during the Christmas season. Since 2018, the TJSF has been working in partnership with the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) Toys for Tots Campaign. The event itself features live music, presentations, food, rides, games, and more.
The Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area (DMBIA) officially joined the group last year. Their annual HolidayFest was cancelled in 2022 due to high winds. They then combined their event with Miracle on Main Street. The two made their partnership official for last year’s event.
A launch was held on Monday, November 25th at the HRPS headquarters in Oakville. TSJF President Tiger Jeet Singh Jr. was joined by HRPS Chief Stephen Tanner, Eliot Wallace of Wallace Chevrolet, Milton Councillor Sameera Ali, and more, including surprise visits from Officer Frosty and McGruff the Crime Dog!
Miracle on Main Street will be on Saturday, December 7th. It will run from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Downtown Milton. Admission is free with the donation of an unwrapped toy. If you can’t attend, but you would like to donate, feel free to drop your donation off at our station.
FM 101 Milton has also launched our own fundraising campaign that is aiming to contribute to Miracle on Main Street. We’ve been able to donate hundreds of toys provided by our gracious listeners over the past two years. If you are unable to attend this year’s event, you can bring an unwrapped toy to our studios at 315 Steeles Avenue East in Milton. New this year: if you drop off any unwrapped toys, you can dedicate your favourite Christmas song on-air to someone in your life!
