Project Atlas has allowed police to identify approximately 2,000 victims of Crypto Investment Fraud in Canada, the U.S. and 12 other countries.
Launched November 18, as a five-week initiative, the focus of Project Atlas is to disrupt organized cryptocurrency frauds, support victims in the recovery of stolen funds and educate the public about cryptocurrency investment scams.
The OPP have been in contact with each victim and is provided them with support.
